Meet 180 Degrees Academy
A live walkthrough of our academic model, athletic programs, tuition and admissions process, plus Q&A with the leadership team.
180 Degrees Academy is Houston's premier private school for grades 6–12, combining rigorous WASC-accredited academics, elite athletic training, and intentional character development into one transformative experience.
Most schools ask you to choose between academics, athletics, or development. At 180 Degrees Academy, students don't choose. They get all three, every single day, built into one rigorous and intentional program.
WASC-accredited, college preparatory curriculum aligned with NCAA requirements. Every course is taught by certified educators and designed to open doors to top universities.
Daily professional-level training in basketball and boxing. We develop student-athletes competitive on the field and ready for collegiate recruitment.
Leadership, integrity, and service are embedded in every grade level. Our graduates don't just earn diplomas. They earn habits that last a lifetime.
Robotics, engineering design, AI literacy, and coding built into the curriculum from Grade 6 through the senior capstone. Students build, test, and present real solutions.
Eligible high schoolers earn college credit through partnerships with Houston Community College, Lone Star College, San Jacinto College, and UH Victoria.
Low student-to-teacher ratios mean every student is known by name, supported by their instructors, and never just a number in a room of 30.
Every course is designed with one goal in mind: putting your student on the path to the college and career they deserve. Certified teacher instruction, small-group support, and AI-assisted personalization.

Middle school at 180 Degrees Academy is where curiosity meets structure. Students build core academic skills while exploring leadership, STEM innovation, and their athletic potential, all at once.
At 180 Degrees Academy, athletics aren't after school. They're built into the day. Every student-athlete trains 1–3 PM Monday through Friday with professional coaches in our elite performance programs.

Skill. IQ. Competition.
Position skill development, film analysis, strength & agility training, competitive league exposure, and recruiting guidance.

Discipline. Power. Focus.
Technical instruction, strength & conditioning, sparring preparation, mental toughness, and nutrition education.
Our block schedule is intentional. Academics in the morning, athletics in the afternoon, and character development woven throughout.
When students feel known, challenged, and supported, the results speak for themselves.
“My son came to 180 Degrees as a solid student who loved basketball. He's leaving as a young man who knows who he is, what he stands for, and exactly where he's going. The academics are real and the coaches are elite. This place changed our family.”
“The STEM program here is unlike anything I'd seen at traditional schools. My daughter built a functioning robotics system in 8th grade and presented it at a showcase. She's now looking at engineering programs for college. We couldn't be more proud.”
“The NCAA eligibility support was critical for us. The team tracked every credit and course requirement and kept us informed throughout high school. My son signed to compete at the college level, and 180 Degrees made sure he had every tool to get there.”
Every course in our high school catalog is built with the NCAA Eligibility Center in mind. From 9th grade on, we track core course completion, GPA requirements, and eligibility status, so your student's dream of playing in college stays within reach.
From robotics competitions to AI capstones, our students design, prototype, and present real solutions. Ask about our STEM Pathway, Innovation Labs, and industry partnerships with Space Center Houston, Texas A&M Engineering, and the University of Houston.
A vertically integrated STEM curriculum with coding, robotics, CAD, AI literacy, and lab-based science building from middle school through 12th grade.
